Robbinsville
Five bicycles were stolen from four different township residences last week.
A Mongoose mountain bike, valued at $150, was stolen from the front porch of a Faxon Drive residence during the overnight hours of June 20. Patrolman Adrian Markowski took the theft report at 6:43 p.m. June 21.
Another Faxon Drive resident reported her son’s blue Huffy beach bicycle, valued at $50, stolen from the front porch of her residence during the overnight hours of June 21. Detective Peter Galazka took the report at 7:24 a.m. June 22.
A third Faxon Drive resident reported a purple DBX bicycle, valued at $150, was taken from the front porch of her residence during the overnight hours of June 21. Detective Peter Galazka took the report at 2:29 p.m. June 22.
Two bicycles were removed from an open garage on Richardson Road during the overnight hours of June 23. The stolen bikes, collectively valued at $650, are a red, black and white Raleigh mountain bike and a blue and pearl Raleigh cruiser bike. Detective Peter Galazka took the report at 1:46 p.m., June 24.
A 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle, valued at $7,870, was reported stolen from a North Main Street business at 3:16 p.m., June 19.
The motorcycle had been towed to the business during the June 15-17 weekend, when the business was closed, police said. During the week, when an employee looked for the bike, it was missing.
William McClain, 60, of Robbinsville, was charged with drunken driving after a motor vehicle stop on Richardson Road at 2:30 p.m., June 23, police said.
Police were dispatched to the area of Route 130 South and Main Street on a report of a driver who had been asleep in a parked car on the roadway. Before police arrived, the driver awoke and began traveling east on Robbinsville-Allentown Road where Patrolman Wayne Haugh saw the vehicle failing to maintain its lane.
During the traffic stop on Richardson Road, the officer detected evidence of intoxication and asked the driver to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. Mr. McClain was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane, police said. He was released pending court.
Jose Castro, 25, of Robbinsville, was charged with DWI and other offenses after a motor vehicle crash on Allens Road at 9:02 a.m. June 18, police said.
Patrolman William Swanhart was dispatched to the area on a report of an overturned motor vehicle that had gone off the road and into the woods. He asked the driver, Mr. Castro, to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.
Mr. Castro was also charged with failure to submit to breath testing, careless driving, reckless driving, being an unlicensed driver, failure to maintain lane, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to report a motor vehicle accident, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, and hindering apprehension (for giving police a false name).
Mr. Castro, who was also wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation, was arrested, charged and lodged in the county jail, police said.
Two Burlington County residents were charged with drug offenses after a motor vehicle stop at 12:44 p.m., June 18, police said.
Patrolman Eric Bakay saw a vehicle speeding on Route 130 South and pulled it over near the Route 33 intersection. While speaking with the occupants, the officer determined there was evidence of narcotics and a search uncovered a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
John Murphy, 32, of Florence, and Alyssa LaChappelle, 24, of Roebling, were charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Murphy was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle while in possession of CDS.
Both Mr. Murphy and Ms. LaChappelle had outstanding warrants for their arrest, police said. Mr. Murphy was turned over to the custody of the Ocean County sheriff’s office and Ms. LaChappelle was released on bail.
Vehicles parked at two homes on Tindall Road were burglarized during the overnight hours of June 16, police said.
Patrolman Scott Kivet took the first report at 10:30 a.m. June 17 at a residence where one vehicle had an iPod shuffle, valued at $100, taken and another had damage to a lock.
Patrolman Thomas Egan took the second report at 11:20 a.m. at another residence where a wallet and its contents, along with a BlackBerry Bold cellphone, were stolen. The total value of the stolen items was $524.
Lawrence Reeves, 52, of Mercerville, was charged with drunken driving at 9:07 a.m., June 10 on Route 130, police said.
Police received a 911 call of a possible intoxicated driver. Patrolman William Swanhart located the vehicle and saw Mr. Reeves change lanes without signaling, police said. Mr. Reeves also was charged with careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to use turn signal and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Four people were charged with marijuana possession following a motor vehicle stop at 6:38 p.m., June 11 on Route 130.
Patrolman Shawn Bruton saw a vehicle fail to use a turn signal and stopped it on Route 130 South near Kuser Road. During the traffic stop, the officer saw evidence of narcotics and found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. All four occupants of the car were charged and released without bail.
Keenen Byrd, 23, of New Britain, Connecticut, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and driving an uninsured vehicle.
The passengers were also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were identified by police as Jamar Byrd, 25, of Vineland; Uhura Walker, 32, of New Britain, Connecticut; and Hector Gonzalez Jr., 23, of New Britain, Connecticut.
Sarah Curtis, 24, of Hamilton, was charged with possession of heroin at 11:31 p.m., June 13 after police found her asleep in her vehicle on Allens Road at the Turnpike overpass.
Patrolman Wayne Haugh responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and found Ms. Curtis asleep behind the wheel, police said. While the officer was speaking with her, she became sick and got out of the vehicle, police said.
While she was outside, the officer saw drugs inside, police said. Ms. Curtis was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital for medical evaluation. She also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released without bail.

Patrolman Adrian Markowski pulled over the vehicle because it was missing a front license plate, had tinted windows and was failing to maintain a lane, police said. The officer recovered a small amount of marijuana after a vehicle search.
The two passengers, Laura Wargo, 28, of Hamilton, and David Stimon, 25, of Trenton, were charged with possession of marijuana. The driver, Sarah Ventres, 21, of Hamilton, was charged with having no front license plate and having tinted windows.

The driver, Kelsey Shear, 18, of Churchville, Pennsylvania, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, making an unsafe lane change and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a CDS.
Jacob, Shear, 21, also of Churchville, Pennsylvania, was charged with possession of a prescription drug legend.
Ryan McMullen, 22, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mark D’Amico, 33, of Hamilton Square, was charged with driving while suspended at 3:20 p.m., June 19, police said.
Patrolman Richard Lerche made the arrest after a traffic stop on Church Street. Mr. D’Amico was processed and released pending a court date.
Ian C. Rooney, 18, of Hamilton, was charged with underage possession of alcohol at 5:45 p.m., June 21, police said.

Edward A. Cedeno, 34, of Ewing, was charged with driving while suspended at 3:15 p.m., June 22, police said.

Jennifer Dadswell, 37, of Cream Ridge, was charged with driving while suspended at 8:45 a.m. on June 22, police said.

Sharon Ramkissoon, 24, of Neptune, was charged with driving while suspended at 11:36 a.m., June 22, police said.
