More than two-thirds of the Hillsborough High School Class of 2012 said in a survey they will attend a four-year college in the fall.
Of 611 students filling out the school guidance department survey, 69 percent, or 422, said they would go to a four-year college. Another 23.7 percent, or 145 students, said they would go to a two-year college starting in the fall.
Six students, or 1 percent, would attend “other schools.” Two said they would go on to career education, and only 16 (or 2.6 percent) said they would go directly to employment.
Six students, or about 1 percent of the class, said they would enter the military. Five students (0.8 percent) didn’t specify their plans.
Three said their plans were unknown, and four students said they would be taking a year off. None dropped out.
