Month of music
in park starts tonight
   Thursday, June 28 — The new season of Music in the Park kicks off with John Nobile’s Summer Swing Orchestra! 7-8:30 p.m. at Ann Van Middlesworth Park. Bring chairs or blankets.
   Concerts continue Thursdays through July. Upcoming bands: July 5, Sun Dog; July 12, to be announced; July 19, Scott Langdon and Lou Davelman, and, on July 26, the Tone Rangers.
Scout troop washes
cars as fundraiser
   Saturday, June 30 — Troop 1776 Venture Patrol is holding a car wash at Hillsborough Elementary School, Route 206 at Amwell Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. $5 cars and $7 trucks or vans. Event raises money for Appalachian Trial backpacking trip in Maine in July.

   Wednesday, July 11 — Raritan Valley Community College offers community information for prospective students at the Hillsborough Library, 379 South Branch Road, from 5-7 p.m. Sessions will provide information about degree, certificate and transfer programs. Learn about financial aid, tuition and flexible scheduling options, including online, weekend and accelerated programs.

   Alzheimer’s support group — The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
   Meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. in the sunroom at Emeritus Senior Living, 600 Auten Road. Call 431-1300 if attending.
   Divorce support group — A non-denominational support group to help separated and divorced people to a new beginning. The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, 7-8:30 p.m., at Hillsborough Presbyterian Church, Route 206 at Homestead Road. 908-295-6740.
   Alternative worship — “Bagels, Bible and Belief,” at 9:30 a.m. summer Sundays at the Hillsborough Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Homestead Road and Route 206. Come casual, have a bagel and lemonade and explore “The First Seven Days: An Introduction to Celtic Spirituality.”
