After just a couple of weeks since being named the new head football coach for South Brunswick High School, Joseph Goerge is starting conditioning camp for the players.
Mr. Goerge is replacing Rick Mantz, who resigned the position in May for personal reasons.
Under Mr. Mantz, the team went 10-1 last year, only falling in the semi-final game of the state championships and winning the Greater Middlesex Red Conference Division for the first time in several years.
Mr. Goerge comes to the district sporting a 130-82 record after 30 seasons on the gridiron.His past head coaching experience lists stints at Msgr. Farrell for six years and 10 years at Port Richmond, both in Staten Island, New York.
