WEST AMWELL — The South Hunterdon Regional High School Board of Education has a vacancy for one seat (unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2012).
Board member and current president, Nicole Claus, is resigning, effective June 29, “due to her pending move from West Amwell to Lambertville,” according to South board member Daniel Seiter.
”Nicole’s departure will leave a difficult gap to fill on our board. Through her deliberate and thought-provoking participation, I think each of us on the board have learned how to be better board members. Her tireless dedication and leadership has made SHR a much better school. I would personally welcome Nicole’s re-entry to the board as a Lambertville representative if she were to seek a term sometime in the future,” said Mr. Seiter.
The board may try to appoint Ms. Claus’ replacement at the July 19 meeting, according to Kerry Sevilis, business administrator.
The candidate must: be a United States citizen; be at least 18 years of age; be able to read and write; have been a Township of West Amwell resident for a minimum of one year; be a registered voter; and have no interest, contract or claim against the board.
Qualifying applicants should send a resume with cover letter by July 10 to Kerry Sevilis, business administrator, South Hunterdon Regional High School, 301 Mt. Airy-Harbourton Road, Lambertville, 08530.
Interviews with candidates for the vacancy will be scheduled.
