HILLSBOROUGH: College students earn grades to make dean’s lists

   Five Hillsborough students enrolled at were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
   To qualify, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
   The students are:
   Scott C. Brink, a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering;
   Kyle M. Downey, a senior majoring in accounting and information systems;
   James E. McMahon, a senior majoring in electrical engineering;
   Jessica A. Powers, a senior majoring in marketing management, and
   Keith A. Tauscher, a sophomore physics major.

   Hillsborough students Stephanie Lamanna, Alyssa Lieberman and Nicole Sayer gained the dean’s list for the spring semester at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa. A minimum 3.55 grade-point average was needed.

   Eleven Hillsborough students attending Fairleigh Dickinson University earend academic honors this semester.
   Four at the College at Florham, located in Madison, were named to the Honor’s List for gaining a 3.5 or better grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 in a minimum of four courses.
   The Hillsborough students are Karen Harvey, Casey Koplik, Sandra Saad and Lucila Sparkes.
   Liya Petrosyan and Denise Wells, both of Hillsborough, were named to the semester honor’s list at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s campus in Teaneck.
   Four Hillsborough students at FDU’s Madison campus earned the dean’s list for the spring semester. To qualify, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of four courses.
   The local students are Sean Cutino, Matthew Grollman, Alexa Guaimano and Megan McInaw.
   Tabatha Rasweiler of Hillsborough earned the dean’s list at the Teaneck-Hackensack campus.

   Hillsborough students Bryan Carney (Class of 2015) and Nicole Jamin (Class of 2012) were named to dean’s list at Loyola University in Baltimore for the spring semester.
   To qualify, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits.
