Hillsborough teen Amanda DeRemer attended her high school graduation June 21 with a new look, courtesy of the Clearasil beauty care company.
Amanda entered and won the Red Carpet Ready contest through the Clearasil Facebook page, qualifying her for the makeover at Legends Salon in Hillsborough.
The treatment was filmed for a web video that will be shown on the Clearasil company’s Facebook page.
Beauty writer and consultant Jeannine Morris was the emcee on the video. Between “takes,” Ms. Morris walked Amanda through the questions she would ask when the cameras were rolling.
The shooting used stylists Ashley Levourne and Andrea Hamilton from the Legends salon, which is owned by Norbert Malysa.
Ms. Morris suggested waterfall braids to take advantage of Amanda’ youth and complexion. When asked what current star’s look she admired, Amanda said Lauren Connor of “The Hills” television show.
The video also served as a promotion for a Clearasil product called PerfectaWash, which dispenses “just the right amount” to clean a complexion without overdrying.
