HILLSBOROUGH: School booster groups select raffle winners

   Winners were selected for the Auten Road School and Hillsborough Middle School home-school association’s second annual spring raffle.
   The raffle featured 25 prizes with a total value of more than $11,500.
   The drawing was conducted at the school board meeting on June 25. Tickets were $10 each or $50 for six.
The HSAs estimate they will split about $5,000 between the two schools.
   The Middle School HSA has approved the addition of gym bleachers, as a cost of about $30,000.
The Auten Road School HSA has approved funds to upgrade recess equipment for children. That work will include a pavilion that will go up this summer and picnic tables under the pavilion, a gaga pit (which was installed in May), two new basketball apparatuses (installed in May), and revisions to the playground equipment to make it age-appropriate.
The total cost of all of this is also about $30,000.
