MANVILLE: Senior center to show ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’

   The Manville Senior Center offers programs, food and activities on most weekdays at the center on South Third Avenue.
   The Manville Recreation Department leads lightweight exercise on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15–10:45 a.m., and “walk and chair” exercise on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30–10:30 a.m. Exercise classes with Lynn at $10 each run from September to June.
   Bingo is played every Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. Birthdays are recognized on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
   The center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Its phone is 908-526-0175.
   Meals need to be ordered a day in advance, before 10:30 a.m. The suggested donation is $1.50 for those 60 and older.
   Manville is one of seven centers operated by Somerset County; it is accessible to individuals with disabilities. The center offers educational, recreational and entertaining activities for active adults age 60 and older, including wellness programs and health screenings.
