The winning recipe for the best tasting went to the Poppy Seed Paradise Dip made by Jarred Saultz, Jenna Molesko, Haylee Furka and Chessie Tomari.
Poppy Seed Paradise Dip
Secret ingredient: Poppy seed
Ingredients:
2 cups of Berry Go-Gurt
1 cup of vanilla yogurt
2 tbsp of lime juice
1 tsp of poppy seeds
2 tbsp of Fruit Punch Capri Sun Juice
Directions: Combine all of the ingredients above and mix until everything is blended well. Put into a serving bowl and serve.
Serve over fruit. You can drizzle it over the fruit or dip the fruit in it.
Coconut Milk Dip
The best overall was deemed to be the Coconut Milk Dip made by Bruno Riga, Rebecca Blanco, Yarina Quiros and Robert Camacho.
Secret Ingredient: Coconut milk.
Ingredients:
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 medium jalapeno (or Serrano) chile, deseeded and chopped
1 teaspoon fine grain sea salt, plus more to taste
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
1 small bunch of scallions, thinly sliced (8 scallions)
½ cup finely chopped cilantro
14-ounce can of coconut milk (full fat)
4 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, plus more to taste
2 bars of cream cheese
Directions:
Put garlic, chile and salt in food processor. Add oil and scallions and smash or chop a bit more. Add cilantro in the food processor just a few times.
Transfer the mixture to a jar or bowl and whisk in the coconut milk, and then the lemon juice. Taste and adjust with more salt or lemon juice if needed.
Add 2 bars of cream cheese and mix till cream cheese is no longer chunky.
Grab chips and enjoy the dip.
