Police blotter items from Allentown and Robbinsville
Allentown
Nicholas Piscitelli, 23, of Babylon, New York, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, on June 23.
Patrolman Timothy Houck approached Mr. Piscitelli for urinating in public and found him in possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia, police said. Mr. Piscitelli was arrested, processed and released pending a court date.
Robbinsville
A Walden Circle resident told police someone stole two purses from outside her residence where she had momentarily left them when she walked to the building’s Dumpster to dispose of trash.
Patrolman Scott Kivet took the report at 11:45 a.m. June 25.
The stolen items were described as one yellow and one blue purse, both valued at $50, which contained a cell phone valued at $100, credit cards, a NJ driver’s license, a Social Security card and $100 in cash, police said.
Police responding to an activated burglar alarm at a Main Street business arrested two Trenton residents at the scene at 6 a.m., June 25.
Wilson Marquez, 38, was charged with obstruction of law and hindering apprehension for providing false information. Norma Isabella Pindo, 39, was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants and charged with contempt of court.
Patrolman Kevin Colgan made the arrests. Mr. Marquez and Ms. Pindo were both charged and released pending court.
Michelle Rodgers, 22, of Hamilton, and Lashun Turner, 19, of Hightstown, were charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 3:34 p.m., June 26 on Route 130 South, police said.
Patrolman Scott Kivet saw a vehicle with a cracked windshield and front tinted windows traveling south on Route 130 and pulled it over near Route 33. While speaking with the occupants, the officer detected evidence of narcotics in the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed a small quantity of marijuana.
Ms. Rodgers, was also charged with operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS, illegal tinted windows, and having a cracked windshield, police said.
Both suspects were released pending court.
A Roosevelt Way resident reported the theft of a package of prescription eyedrops valued at $98 that were delivered by UPS and left on the front step of his residence, police said.
Patrolman Thomas Egan took the report at 11:30 a.m., June 29.
Joanne Burr, 48, of Roebling, was charged with DWI and other offenses after being stopped by police for driving the wrong way on Route 130 at 2:57 a.m., June 30, police said.
Patrolman Eric Bakay saw a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of Route 130 and pulled it over near Route 33. The driver was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed, police said.
Ms. Burr was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, delaying traffic, obstructing traffic, failing to maintain lane, improper backing up and driving an uninsured vehicle, police said.
Four hundred pieces of foot-long copper wire were stolen from a construction site on North Main Street sometime during the overnight hours of June 29-30.
The stolen wire was valued at $1,600. Patrolman Shawn Bruton took the report at 8:37 a.m., June 30.
A Richardson Road resident reported that sometime during the overnight hours of June 29-30 someone struck her mailbox with an unknown object.
Patrolman Scott Kivet took the criminal mischief report a 12:21 p.m., June 30. The mailbox was valued at $99.
Matthew Mazepa, 21, of Hamilton, was charged with possession of marijuana and other offenses after a traffic stop at 1:31 p.m., June 30 on North Main Street, police said.
Patrolman Shawn Bruton saw a vehicle speeding on Church Street and pulled it over on North Main Street near School Drive, police said. After speaking with the driver, the officer determined there might be narcotics in the vehicle and a search recovered a small amount of marijuana, police said.
Mr. Mazepa was also charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS, police said.
