Lambertville City police reported:
— On June 25, Officer Michael Gramlich stopped Louise E. Johnson, 59, of Williamsontown, on Cherry Street for failure to inspect her vehicle. Ms. Johnson was found to have an active warrant for her arrest out of Monroe Township. She posted bail of $ 145 and was released.
— On June 29, patrols went to the Marhaba Restaurant, on South Union Street, where there was a structure fire. Investigation showed the service line coming from the power pole to the restaurant broke. The power line fell against the exterior vinyl siding, igniting it. An employee, Said Absouehe, put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. The Lambertville Fire Department responded and checked the entire building for any possible remaining hot spots.. The damage was minor and confined to the exterior of the building. The restaurant was open for business the following day.
— On June 29, Officer Gramlich was called to the Lambertville Station Restaurant on Bridge Street. A customer was refusing to leave the restaurant. Zachary J. Romano, 45, of Lambertville, refused to leave after being told to do so by the officer. Mr. Romano was charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order of a police officer. He was released pending a court appearance.
— On June 28, Officer Gramlich and Officer Sharon Polyak were called to Church Street to check out a report of a man endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigation revealed, police said, that Ruben Hernandez-Garcia, 39, of New Hope, allegedly inappropriately touched an 11-year-old boy. Mr. Hernandez-Garcia was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $7,000 bail. Immigration services also placed a detainer on Mr. Hernandez-Garcia. The investigation is continuing.
