Interfaith Neighbors and UCEDC help demystify financial data for new and established businesses
Asbury Park, NJ – When it comes to starting or running a successful small business, financial ignorance is not bliss. The savvy business owner knows how much it costs to be in business and uses that information to generate a profit.
“Unfortunately, too many entrepreneurs are running their business on the fly – reacting hastily to perceived threats and opportunities without really understanding their financial performance,” says Roger Boyce, director of the Business Development Center at Interfaith Neighbors.
That’s why Interfaith Neighbors has teamed up with UCEDC to offer a workshop on how to interpret financial data and use that data to make informed business decisions. The session will be held in Asbury Park on Tuesday, July 24 from 7 – 8:30 pm.
Interfaith Neighbors is a leading economic development and neighborhood revitalization organization serving Asbury Park and Monmouth County. UCEDC is a statewide, nonprofit small business lender and training provider. The two organizations are working together on a variety of small business initiatives.
“If you don’t know where to begin or are having trouble keeping up with your financial data, this workshop is for you,” advises Erich Peter, UCEDC director of training. “We’ll help you understand the financial factors that drive your business and get you set up to predict and respond to changes in the marketplace.”
Online registration, including payment of the $20 registration fee, is available at www.ucedc.com/events . For more information, contact Marsha Falco at Interfaith Neighbors at [email protected] or 732-775-0525.
