Children’s Specialized Hospital expands in New Brunswick

New specialty physician services open on RWJUH pediatric campus

NEW BRUNSWICK — Children’s Specialized Hospital has expanded the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and RobertWood Johnson Health System academic pediatric health campus to include specialty physician services at 10 Plum St. in New Brunswick.

Services include pediatricians specially trained in psychiatry, neurodevelopment and neurology. Physicians will see children with a variety of developmental or physical disabilities as well as children with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cerebral palsy or fetal alcohol syndrome.

Children’s Specialized Hospital provides rehabilitation services for children with special needs. The hospital serves children affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays and lifechanging illnesses.

The hospital has nine sites in New Jersey and treats 19,000 children each year. Services include outpatient services, acute rehabilitation, and long-term care through its sites in Bayonne, Clifton, Mountainside, Toms River, Fanwood, Hamilton, New Brunswick and Roselle Park as well as outreach programs in many communities.
