A blood drive will be held at the Manville-Hillsborough Elks from noon to 4:30 p.m.
Donors must be 16 years or older and at least 110 pounds to donate. Those who are 16 are permitted to donate with parental consent, but must bring a signed consent form.
All donors also must present an ID with photo and/or signature at the time of their donation.

The seventh annual car show by the Full Throttle Car Club to benefit the Manville High School Marching Band will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, (rain date Aug. 5), from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Manville High School.
Food will be available for purchase. Trophies will be presented in several categories.
Admission to view the cars is free. The cost to display a car is $20; if you can drive it, you can bring it. Advance registration is $15.
Manville High School is at 1100 Brooks Blvd. Cars will be displayed in the field adjacent to the sports complex.

Library board: The board of trustees will meet at the public library, 100 S. 10th Ave., at 6:30 p.m.
Sun., Sept. 30
Steps Together is a united team that will participate in the Steeplechase Distance Run in Hillsborough on Sept. 30.
For a $25 donation, participants receive guided training via email and invites to attend local training sessions.
Eight beneficiaries are participating in the program — five families and three nonprofits. Participants select who they’d like to participate on behalf of.

Pools open: Summer fun has begun at borough facilities.
Borough residents can register for badges, Monday through Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. in recreation offices on the second floor of Borough Hall. Proof of residency is required.

Public library book sale: Buy donated and surplus books to support the library. Hardcover books are 50 cents; soft-cover 25 cents each or by the bag for $2.
