Sat., July 14
   Daniel’s Fight with Evans syndrome Tricky Tray event will be held at the Bordentown Elks from 6 p.m. to10 p.m. Admission is $15 per person. No one under 18 is permitted. All proceeds go to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to support its research on Evans syndrome. Dessert, coffee, tea will be served and as well as soda and alcohol for purchase.
Sat., July 28
   Consolidated Fire Association is holding a car wash from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the firehouse, 20 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. It costs $5 for a sparkly clean car wash, which supports your local volunteers.
Wed., Oct. 17
   The Friends of St. Mary’s School, in order to raise money for the school, is planning a bus trip to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pa., on to see the show “King Henry & The Showmen: King Henry’s Anniversary Comedy Special.” Each of the members sings and plays many different instruments, as well as having comedy routines. A sit-down family style hot meal is included. We will also be a stop at the World’s Largest General Store. Price is $85 per person.    The Old City Hall Restoration Project Committee (OCHRP) of Bordentown City holds The Painted Classroom Desk Auction at 7 p.m. with an auction preview beginning at 6 p.m. at The Old City Hall, 11 Crosswicks St.
Tues., Oct. 23
   Bordentown Township Seniors Club is sponsoring an overnight trip to Dover Downs Casino, Dover, Del., on Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 24. The cost is $175 per person twin and $245 per person single. The trip includes one buffet breakfast, one buffet dinner, $30 in slot play, pool and exercise facilities, transportation and driver gratuity.    Community Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Senior Community Center grounds in Bordentown Township.

   The Bordentown Township Seniors is sponsor a trip to Bally’s Casino every third Tuesday of the month. The cost is $25 and the return is $20. The club meets the first and third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. Call 609-298-4396 for information.    Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday night at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot, and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Price is $6 per person. Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
   St. Mary’s Senior Citizens Club meets the second Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Parish Center, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown City.

   The Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist congregation of Bordentown City offers classes for children every Sunday at 10 a.m., 39 Park St. The teachers lead the children in a range of activities exploring the ethical and spiritual tenets of the Unitarian Universalist beliefs.    St. Mary School, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown City, has established a fund-raiser Market Day where roasts, snacks, breakfasts, lunch and meals for families can be ordered. Visit www.marketday.com to place an order and choose St. Mary School as the pickup location. St. Mary School receives 10 percent of the purchase, according to a press release.    Beginning September 2012, St. Mary’s School will offer a program for 3- year-olds twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The full day program, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., costs $245 per month; the half day program, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. costs $195 per month. Registration fee is $50.
