East Windsor
   Police said they charged a Bennington Drive resident with aggravated assault on June 27 at 11:56 p.m.
   Alexander Thornley, 27, assaulted and strangled a person in the parking lot of Brunswick Lanes. The victim lost consciousness and was transported to Hamilton Hospital.
   Mr. Thornley posted $50,000 bail and was released pending court action.
   A 49-year-old woman was charged with driving while intoxicated on Dutch Neck Road June 28 at 1:41 a.m., according to police.
   Officers noticed the smell of alcohol coming from Cindy Schoenhaar, of Princeton Arms, car after they pulled her over for driving erratically.
   Ms. Schoenhaar was also charged with failure to keep right, careless driving and reckless driving. She was released pending court action.
   A caller reported his blue 1997 Yamaha TW200 motorcycle worth $2000 had been stolen from the parking lot near his Windsor Commons apartment between 10 p.m. on June 27 and 6:37 a.m. on June 28, police said.
   A woman reported someone damaged her car by spray painting it and slashing its tires between 11 p.m. June 28 and 8:30 a.m. June 29 at the Windsor Regency. Police estimate the damage at $840 and are still investigating the incident.
   An i-Phone charger, GPS unit and $15 in cash were taken from an unlocked car on Drew Lane between 5:30 p.m. June 28 and 4:30 a.m. June 29.
   According to police, a woman reported her car parked at the Windsor Regency had its back window smashed between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. on June 30. The incident is still under investigation.
   A Rockybrook Road resident reported thee vehicles parked in his driveway were spray painted around 4 a.m. on July 1, police said. The damage is estimated at $3000 and the incident is still under investigation.
   Police said they charged a Shamong resident with Prescription Fraud aafter she tried to get drugs from a CVS Pharmacy using a fake prescription July 2 at 7:13 p.m.
   Kelly Evans, 27, also provided false personal information to officers who arrived on the scene.
   Ms. Evans has been released pending court action.
   Police said a man was charged with obstructing justice after he provided a false drivers license to an officer on July 4 at 7:30 a.m.
   Juan Diaz, 22, of Hamilton was found intoxicated and lying on the lawn of a Millstone Drive residence when officers approached him, police said.
   Mr. Diaz was also charged with hindering apprehension; he was released pending court action.
   A 35-year-old man from Lumberton was charged for possession of a stolen vehicle on July 6 at 3:06 a.m., police stated.
   Police said an officer noticed Yosef Boyd driving a suspicious white van out of the closed Exxon Station on Route 130.
   Mr. Boyd fled police after they attempted to pull him over and eventually tried to get away on foot, according to police. Officers from East Windsor, Cranbury and Hightstown caught and arrested him.
   He was taken to Mercer County Corrections Center and charged with possession of a stole vehicle, eluding police, resisting arrest, obstructing, arrest warrant, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to observe signal, failure to maintain lane and driving while suspended.
   An officer noticed a 15-year-old passenger in possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on July 5 at 10:46 p.m., according to police.
   The officer, who made the stop on Dutch Neck Road arrested the boy and he was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, police said.
   He was released to a parent pending court action.
   Investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked at Walgreen’s revealed that an Edison resident sitting in the car was in possession of marijuana, police said.
   Adil Asmat, 24, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams on July 9 at 12:38 a.m., according to police.
   He was released pending court action.
   An officer arrested a 21-year-old man after investigating a suspicious vehicle revealed he was in possession of marijuana on July 8 at 10:22 p.m., police said.
   Matthew Guerriero, of Wall, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams released pending court action.
   Police said the department arrested a 78-year-old shoplifter at Target on July 6 at 3 p.m.
   George Tannebaum, of Canterbury Court, took three shirts worth a total of $60 from the store without paying, police said.
   He was charged with shoplifting and later released pending court action.
   Four people were charges with possession of marijuana under 50 grams July 6 on Pierce Road at 11:27 p.m., according to police
   Police Ricky Rios, 18, and Abraham Rahawi, 18, both of Twin Rivers Drive North, a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl were all in possession of marijuana when an officer investigated suspiciously parked vehicle, police said.
   The two men were charged and later released pending court action. The girls were turned over to their parents pending court action.
   Police charged a man with possession of marijuana under 50 grams after discovering him passed out in the driver’s seat of his car on July 7 around 5 a.m., according to police.
   Ruben Jaigua-Rocano, 25, of Princeton Arms, appeared intoxicated, according to police who noticed open beer bottles in his car, police said.
   He was also charged with consumption of alcohol in public and later released pending court action.
   A caller reported that his car parked in a lot on Dennison Drive had been scratched with a sharp object causing $250 worth of damage between 5:30 p.m. on July 5 and 3 p.m. on July 6, according to police.
   A man reported that $4,100 worth of tools were stolen from his unlocked car which was parked in the driveway his Etra Road residence between 7 p.m. July 10 and 7 a.m. July 11, police said.
Hightstown
   Police charged a man with driving while intoxicated on North Main Street on June 28 at 8:04 p.m., according to police.
   Manuel Villa, 42, of Oak Lane was found by police sleeping in his car in the parking lot of the fire department in Hightstown, and refused to cooperate with the officers, police said.
   Mr. Villa was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, refusal to submit breath samples, driving while suspended, careless driving, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released pending court action.
   Police said a man was arrested on June 29 at 9:43 p.m. who skipped his court date.
   A 35-year-old Palmetto, Fla., resident was charged with driving while intoxicated after police investigated a car parked behind a closed business on June 30 at 12:52 a.m., according to police.
   An officer noticed the smell of alcohol coming from Jason Adams’ car and took him into custody, police said.
   He was also charged with reckless driving and careless driving, and released to a friend pending court action.
   Police charged a man with contempt of court on June 30 at 2:04 p.m. after a random license plate search revealed the driver had an active warrant while he was driving on Mercer Street, according to police.
   Mr. Lambert, 52, of Morrison Avenue was taken into custody, but then released upon posting bail.
   Police charged a 41-year-old man with driving while intoxicated on July 1 at 3:30 a.m. on North Main Street.
   According to police, John Cruz of Santa Fe, N.M. was driving erratically and stopped by an officer who noticed them smell of alcohol in his car.
   Mr. Cruz was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving and failure to drive with headlights. He was released pending court action.
   Police charged an Elizabeth resident with driving while intoxicated on Franklin Street on July 1 at 10:19 a.m., according to police
   Antonio Rodriguez, 36, was stopped for having a taillight out and having an expired inspection sticker, but the officer noticed he seemed like he was under the influence of a substance, police said.
   Field sobriety tests were administered, which Mr. Rodriguez failed, police stated. He was later was later released to a friend with pending court action.
   Christopher Speer, 34, of Clover Lane, turned himself in on a $200 warrant issued by Linden City Municipal Court July 2 at 11:56 a.m. He was released upon posting bail.
   According to police Bernadette Barnaby was arrested on July 7 at 9:18 a.m. on a $1000 warrant issued by the Bordentown Township Police Department. Ms. Barnaby was transported to the Mercer County Adult Correction Center in lieu of bail.
