Robbinsville
Two Robbinsville men were charged with driving while intoxicated after police responded to a report of a disturbance at a Beechwood Drive home July 9.
Patrolman Adrian Markowski arrived at 12:46 p.m. and found a vehicle stuck in the backyard and detected evidence the driver, Nicholas Foti, 19, of Robbinsville, was intoxicated, police said. Mr. Foti failed field sobriety tests, police said.
Mr. Foti was charged with DWI, underage DWI, reckless driving and criminal mischief in connection with the damage to the homeowner’s lawn, police said. He was arrested, charged and released pending court.
A second man who had been at the Beechwood Avenue home and drove away as police officers arrived was arrested about 10 minutes later after Patrolman Shawn Bruton located his vehicle and pulled him over on Union Street. Christian Nemeth, 20, of Robbinsville, failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI, underage DWI, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, careless driving, reckless driving, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Mr. Nemeth was arrested, charged and released pending court.
Police declined to provide further details about the disturbance at the Beechwood home, but said it had not been an underage drinking party.
Jonathan Torres, 25, of Trenton was charged with possession of marijuana and other offenses after a motor vehicle stop at 8:18 p.m., July 9, police said.
Patrolman Scott Kivet saw a vehicle traveling on Route 130 South make an unsafe lane change, police said. The officer stopped the vehicle near Route 33 and detected evidence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Mr. Torres was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, making an unsafe lane change and having an obstructed windshield, police said.
Someone egged a vehicle parked at Wycklow Court sometime during the night of July 9. Sgt. Mark Lee took the report at 10:19 p.m.
Zachary Zielinski, 19, and Woonghw Jeon, 20, both of Robbinsville, were charged with underage possession and consumption of alcohol at 1:45 a.m., July 10, police said.
Patrolman Scott Kivet pulled a vehicle over on Sharon Road near Route 130 North after observing it turn without signaling and run a stop sign, police said. While speaking with the driver, Mr. Zielinski, the officer detected evidence of intoxication and asked him to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said. The passenger, Mr. Jeon, was also intoxicated and underage, police said.
Mr. Zielinski was additionally charged with DWI, underage DWI, failure to use a turn signal, careless driving, reckless driving, having an obstructed windshield, and violation of a provisional driver’s license.
A Wyndham Place resident told police at 3:22 p.m., July 10 that someone stole $1,000 from her bedroom. Patrolman Adrian Markowski took the report.
A trailer valued at $15,000 was stolen from the parking lot of business on West Manor Way sometime between May 25 and June 26, police said. The victim reported the theft to Patrolman Chris Clifton at 3:12 p.m., July 11.
A trailer valued at $7,500 was stolen from a business on New Canton Way sometime during the overnight hours of July 12-13, police said.
Patrolman Shawn Bruton took the report at 3:28 p.m., July 13.
Nicholas Garcia, 24, of Hamilton, was charged with possession of marijuana and other charges after a motor vehicle stop at 10:27 a.m., July 14, police said.
Patrolman Adrian Markowski saw a vehicle traveling east on Route 33 that was missing a front license plate and had a windshield obstruction. The officer pulled the vehicle over on Route 33 near the Wells Fargo Bank and detected evidence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed a small quantity of marijuana.
Mr. Garcia was also charged with operating a vehicle in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, driving while suspended, being an unlicensed driver, driving an uninsured vehicle, failure to exhibit an insurance card, having an unclear license plate and an obstructed windshield, police said. He was arrested, charged and released pending court.
A Beverly Court resident reported that someone used her debit cart to make $2,802 worth of unauthorized purchases. Detective Sgt. Vincent Estelle took the report at police headquarters at 11:52 a.m., July 14.
Alexa Zapicchi, 20, of Manasquan, was charged with DWI and other offenses after a traffic stop 2:17 a.m., July 13, police said.
Patrolman Scott Kivet saw a vehicle traveling south on Route 130 failing to maintain its lane and pulled it over near Route 33. The driver was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed, police said.
Ms. Zapicchi was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, improper use of the roadway shoulder and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. She was arrested, charged and released pending court.
A Walters Road resident reported motocross equipment worth $820 was stolen from a trailer on their property. Patrolman Adrian Markowski took the report at 9:46 a.m., July 15, police said.
Allentown
Willie Huffman, 56, of Elizabeth was charged with driving while suspended after a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street at 10:30 a.m., July 14, police said.
Patrolman Timothy Houck made the arrest. Mr. Huffman was processed and released pending court.
Ahmed Abdelazim, 20, of Robbinsville, was charged with DWI and other offenses after a motor vehicle stop at 2:55 a.m., July 6 for reckless driving and making an illegal U-turn, police said.
Mr. Abdelazim was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, underage DWI, reckless driving, and making an improper U-turn, police said.
Patrolman Thomas Malatesta made the arrest. Mr. Abdelazim was charged and released pending court.
