Thursday, July 26 — Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center, 395 Amwell Road, will host “Deciding for Others: Legal and Ethical Responsibilites,” by Raymond Stine, an elder care and health care attorney who practices in Hillsborough. Light dinner at 6 p.m., presentation from 6:15-7:15.
Determining a patient’s competence and understanding the procedural requirements for making decisions for others, as well as overall decision-making in health care, will be the focus. RSVP to 908-281-4400.

Walkers, runners
can aid 8 in need
Sunday, Sept. 30 — Steps Together is a united team that will participate in the Steeplechase Distance Run in Hillsborough on Sept. 30. For a $25 donation, participants receive guided training via email and local training sessions. Eight beneficiaries are participating — five families and three nonprofits. Participants select for whom they’d like to participate.

Alzheimer’s support group — The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
