Area residents are college, university graduates

   — The following were among the 642 students to graduate from Messiah College on May 12. Lambertville resident Jessica Bostwick graduated magna cum laude with a degree in humanities. She was a member of the College Honors Program. Lambertville resident Meghan Compton graduated summa cum laude with a degree in elementary education.
   — Kelsey Beaumont graduated magna cum laude from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, with a bachelor’s degree, with honors distinction, in English. She graduated with a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.79 and was on both the Dean’s and President’s Lists. The daughter of Dave and Laura Beaumont, of West Amwell Township. She is a South Hunterdon Regional High School graduate.
   — Stefanie Beaumont graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., with a master’s degree in museum studies. The daughter of Dave and Laura Beaumont, of West Amwell Township. she is a cum laude graduate of Smith College, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology. She is a graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School.
   — Hannah J. Brubaker, of Lambertville, was awarded a degree at St. Lawrence University’s Commencement ceremony, in May, on campus in Canton, New York. She Brubaker was awarded a degree in conservation biology. She graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School.
   — Dillon Ward Burke, of West Amwell and a 2008 South Hunterdon Regional High School graduate, graduated from the Hospitality College of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, with a degree in restaurant, food and beverage management. He is working in New York City for the Burke Restaurant Group.
   — The State University of New York at New Paltz recently conferred over 1,000 undergraduate degrees. Ryan Resko, of Lambertville, received a bachelor’s degree in communication media.
   — Eleya Hendrickson, of Stockton, graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College with a bachelor’s degree in nursing on May 12.
   — Carly M. Miller, of Stockton, received a doctor of physical therapy from Quinnipiac University during a commencement ceremony held May 13 at the TD Bank Sports Center.
   — Jared Rodriguez, of Stockton, graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, on May 20. He majored in religion and minored in music.
   — More than 1,800 Lehigh University students were awarded degrees during the 144th spring commencement ceremonies at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem. Amanda Bentley, of Ringoes, received a bachelor’s degree.
   — Pennie Scesney, of Lambertville, graduated from the University of Hartford on May 20. She received a bachelor’s degree in performing arts management .
   — On May 11, Russell Lambert, of Lambertville, graduated from The College of New Jersey’s Career and Community Studies program. The Career and Community Studies program is for students with intellectual disabilities and affords these students the opportunity for post-secondary transition in a college setting.
   — Sarah Jean Fisher, of Stockton, received a master’s degree from Drew University on May 12.
   — Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, has announced the names of students who are among the college’s list of May graduates: Casey Blair, of Lambertville; Tessa Borden, of Stockton; Adam Gibson, of Stockton and Peter O’Harak, of New Hope.
   — Erin McCrone, of Stockton, a student on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, graduated in May.
   — Nicholas Pillon, of Stockton, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology in the spring.
   — The following local residents were among over 1,700 students who graduated from Wake Forest University on May 21: Syril Smith, of Stockton; and Tara Seymour, of New Hope.
   — The following graduated from Lafayette College, Easton, at the school’s 177th commencement: Alexandra Lucy, of New Hope, bachelor’s degree in psychology; Erin McIntyre, of Stockton, bachelor’s degree in psychology (with honors in psychology), cum laude; Catherine Neumann, of New Hope, bachelor’s degree in psychology (magna cum laude).
   — On May 20, Washington College, Chestertown, Maryland, held its 229th commencement ceremonies. Ian Holstrom, of New Hope and son of Mr. and Mrs. Carleton Holstrom, received a bachelor’s degree in economics, cum laude, He also received departmental honors and was senior class speaker.
   — Amanda B. Bachman, of New Hope, received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education K-six within the College of Education & Social Services during May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont.
   — More than 750 undergraduate and graduate students received bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at Wilkes University’s 65th annual spring commencement on May 19 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre. John Verrant, of Solebury, earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
   — Shannon T. Farrar, of New Hope, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Mary Washington, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
   — Kristin Maglies, of New Hope, graduated from the University of New Hampshire (Durham campus) in May. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology (marine and freshwater).
   — Erik Kristiansen, of New Hope, recently graduated from Champlain College. He received a bachelor’s degree in digital filmmaking (with a possible specialization and/or minor).
   . — Timothy Marsh, of New Hope, graduated on May 12 from Centenary College at the 137th Commencement with a master’s degree in business administration degree.
   — New Hope resident, Andrea Ochadlick, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in health sciences from James Madison University during the May 2012 commencement exercises.
   — Cornell University has announced that the following students graduated with the Class of 2012 during May commencement ceremonies: Elise McVeigh, of New Hope, bachelor’s degree in human biology, health and society; Matthew Byrne, of Solebury, bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.;
   — Holy Family University conferred 810 degrees during undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies held May 19 in Philadelphia. The following local residents are among those who completed academic studies: Calum Dallas Colton, of New Hope, who majored in math secondary education, and received a bachelor’s degree; Danielle Luczyszyn, of New Hope, who majored in management marketing and received a bachelor’s degree; Natalie Luczyszyn, of New Hope, who majored in nursing and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing; Nicole M. Ponist, of New Hope, who majored in accounting and received a bachelor’s degree; and Stephenie Ponist, of New Hope, who majored in elementary special education, and received a bachelor’s degree.
