Police announced several arrests Wednesday.
On July 10, police arrested Sherman Johnson, 29, of New Brunswick and Dawn Feldner, 31, of Highlands for allegedly stealing an IPad from a guest at the Hotel Vincenza on Route 1.
The guests from Texas were unloading their vehicle and placed the item on the side of the vehicle, according to police
The suspects allegedly stole the tablet computer and sold it in North Brunswick. Detectives tracked down the iPad down and returned it to the victim. Both suspects were charged with theft, according to police.
Police charged Chris Olsen, 21, with stealing from a Brookside mobile home on July 10.
According to police, Mr. Olsen allegedly stole a brass horse, brass lobster, and brass elephant along with its ring, according to police.
Police said the items were later recovered from a scrap yard.
Mr. Olsen was issued a summons and released on his own recognizance, police said.
The next day, police arrested Joshua Kitson, 19, of South Brunswick for allegedly burglarizing two residences in the township.
Mr. Kitson was charged with allegedly breaking into homes on Lime Street and Plum Street during the first week of July, according to police.
Detectives recovered several of the stolen items during the investigation, and he is currently lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick in lieu $250,000 bail, according to police.
On Tuesday police charged Melanie Hansen, 21, of South Brunswick with allegedly stealing power tools from an Avenue F residence.
She was released pending a court date, police said.
