East Windsor
Police responded to several reports of car burglary between July 10 and July 14.
According to police, all of the vehicles were unlocked. $300 was stolen from a vehicle on East Ward Street and i-Pod chargers, a camera and flashlight were stolen from a vehicle on Abbington Drive. A vehicle on Cherrybrook Lane was missing a GPS. Eight vehicles on Wyndmoor Drive were broken into; among the stolen items were prescription sunglasses, cell phones and i-Pod chargers.
A woman reported that a ring worth $3,190 was stolen from her Cypress Drive home between June 18 and June 22, police said. The incident is still under investigation.
Police charged a West Windsor woman with aggravated assault on a police officer on July 12 at 1:13 p.m.
Police said Ashley Konen, 27, was drunk and kicked a person who she was supposed to give her a ride home from Anker Park.
Ms. Konen, refused to get out of the car when officers arrived and continued to resist arrest when they tried to remove her form the car, police said.
She was also charged with simple assault, obstructing justice and resisting arrest. She was later released pending court action.
A woman told police that a $250 TV that was delivered by UPS was taken from her doorstep on Thomas Street between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 2, according to police.
Police are still investigating the case.
Hightstown
Cristian Coleman, 20, of Academy Street was arrested after police investigated a report of a suspicious person in the Krauszer’s parking lot.
The subject was taken into custody and later released by the court.
Police responded to a call about an East Ward Street home that was broken into on July 19 and stole an undetermined amount of jewelry, according to police.
Police said officers arrived around 2:30 p.m. and found a window in the back of the home had been forced open with a tool.
The Hightstown Borough Police Department K-9 Unit did not find an intruder in the home during the investigation.
According to police a 57-year-old man was charged with driving while intoxicated on July 11 around 12:30 a.m. on North Main Street.
Police said officers stopped Luis Munoz, of Winchester Drive, because he did not signal a turn. Officers than noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his vehicle, and found marijuana in his vehicle as well.
Mr. Munoz was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, careless driving, failure to signal turn, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana under fifty grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released to family pending court action.
Police said Carlos Torres, 46, of The Orchards, was charged with criminal mischief on July 11 at 9:54 p.m because he broke the lock to City Auto after he had an argument with the owner. He was released pending court action.
The Camden County Sheriff’s department took custody of Tiffany Pacheco, 29, of Lindenwold and charged her with contempt of court after arresting her on an unrelated matter on July 13 at 1:45 p.m.
Ms. Pacheco was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Hightstown Borough Police Department and then transported to the Mercer County Adult Correction Center in lieu of bail.
Police scharged a 30-year-old man from Astoria, N.Y. with driving while intoxicated on July 14 at 8:20 p.m. on Mercer Street.
According to police, Mr. Tenecela crossed over a double yellow line and passed five vehicles when he was pulled over and an officer noticed the smell of alcohol in his car.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with minors in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, careless driving and improper passing.
Mr. Tenecela was later released to family members with pending court action.
Police charged a man with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he slashed four tires of a parked vehicle when he was denied entry to a party being held at the Hightstown First Aid Squad Building.
Santiago Martinez-Hernandez, a 31, of Gardenview Terrace was highly intoxicated when police arrived on Jukly 14 around 10 p.m., police said. He was released on a summons complaint pending court action.
According to police, Timothy Timko, 56, of Trenton, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Trenton City Municipal Court when officers responded to a report of an intoxicated man yelling profanities at St. Anthony’s Church on Franklin Street.
Mr. Timko was released by Trenton City Municipal Court on his own recognizance on a summons complaint with pending court action for the incident in Hightstown Borough.
