Police: Robber nabbed nearly one year later

    EAST WINDSOR — Police have charged a Newark man for the robbery of a township store after he was able to allude law enforcement for nearly one year.
    The Newark Police Department Fugitive Task Force captured the man who stole $14,741at gun point from the Welsh Farms Convenience Store, according to a release by the East Windsor Township Police Department.
    Almost a year after the robbery occurred, Angelo Murray, 47, was transferred to the East Windsor Police Department on July 10.
    Mr. Murray did not harm the employee at the store during the robbery, which occurred on Aug. 25, 2011, in Carduner’s Plaza on Route 130, according to police.
    On July 11, he was transferred to the Mercer County Corrections Center, police said. He will be held there until bail is posted or until the court decides otherwise.
    He has been charged with robbery, weapons offenses, terroristic threats, theft and aggravated assault. Bail has been set at $100,000.
