WEST AMWELL — According to Kerry Sevilis, business administrator, South Hunterdon Regional High School District, South’s new interim superintendent is Joanne Calabro.
She is replacing Nancy Gartenberg, the new superintendent of Montgomery Township School District in Somerset County.
According to reports, Dr. Calabro’s contract runs from Aug. 1 until June 30, 2013. She is a former superintendent of the Fort Lee Public Schools.
Dr. Calabro’s appointment was made at the July 19 school board meeting.
Ms. Gartenberg’s resignation was accepted June 21. She could stay on until early September.
ALSO ON JULY 19, the school board picked a new member, Maura Buckenberger, who replaces Nicole Claus. Ms. Claus moved from West Amwell to Lambertville. She was board president.
To replace Ms. Claus, the board elected Dan Seiter, of Lambertville, as president.
Mr. Seiter, who was board vice president, also is chairman of the South Hunterdon County School District Regionalization Committee.
Serving now as vice president is Celeste Mosby, of West Amwell, according to reports.
