 “I Scream, You Scream,” an ice cream social special event, will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Goddard School, 178 West Veterans Highway, Jackson. Children of all ages are welcome. Additional activities will include Mr. Scott the Music Man, crafts, games, and an opportunity to visit classrooms and meet teachers.  A special meeting of the Plumsted Township Committee will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 3 at New Egypt High School, 117 Evergreen Road. The purpose of the meeting is to approve resolutions authorizing the promotion of Sgt./Officer in Charge Matthew S. Petrecca to chief of police and appointing Petrecca as the public safety director. Official action will be taken.
