Free Responsible Alcohol Sales Training Offered

Barbara Sprechman, Mercer Council
On Wednesday, August 22nd from 4:30 n 6:30pm, Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction will be collaborating with Rider University in hosting a free Alcohol Beverage Server and Sales training open to all liquor licensees in Mercer County. This training will help employees and managers understand state laws, teach them to recognize fake IDs, and understand the consequences of serving alcohol to underage youth. The training is facilitated by representatives from the NJ Division of Alcohol and Beverage Control. From a community public health standpoint, this training helps reduce alcohol sales and service to underage youth and intoxicated individuals over the age of 21. Participation in this training can help reduce civil liability exposure for licensees and their employees and possibly reduce the risk of administrative and criminal penalties as well.
“This is an excellent training which helps to empower employees to obey local and statewide laws and maintain control over customers despite customer demands.” said Barbara Sprechman, Prevention Services Coordinator from Mercer Council. For more information or to register, please call Ms. Sprechman at 609-396-5874.
