HILLSBOROUGH: College students earn their degrees

   Ten Hillsborough students received degrees from Villanova (Pa.) University at spring commencement on Sunday, May 20.
   Earning bachelor of science degrees were Craig Diziki, Christopher Donnellan, Steven Mueller and Nicole Rocha.
   Receiving bachelor of arts degrees were Christopher Putvinski, Melanie Romero and Kaitlyn Stratton.
   Himali Gandhi earned a master of public administration degree.
   Lindsey Jandoli gained a bachelor of science degree in nursing, and Christopher Letso, a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

   Joe Montano of Hillsborough received a degree at the 84th Commencement of Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa., on May 20.
   He graduated with an associate’s degree in hospitality management.
   Mercyhurst University President Dr. Thomas J. Gamble presented diplomas during the 2 p.m. ceremony at the Bayfront Convention Center in downtown Erie.

   Max Anderson Caprarola, a 2007 Hillsborough High School graduate, received a bachelor of arts degree in global/international studies and a minor degree in Italian from from Rider University on May 11. He will pursue employment in the field of Italian translation.

   Eight Hillsborough residents received degrees at Rider University’s 147th commencement in Lawrenceville on May 11. More than 1,200 undergraduate and graduate degrees were awarded.
   Local degree recipients included:
   Brianne Bergen and Amy Crowe, both of whom received bachelor of arts degrees in elementary education.
   Michael Crosdale, who received a bachelor of arts degree in liberal studies.
   Jennie Jacaruso, who received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism.
   Andrew Martinez, who received a bachelor of arts degree in English.
   Scott Vlachos, who received a bachelor of arts degree in political science.
   Shannon Melick, who received a bachelor of science degree in marine sciences.
   Gregory Sprofera, who received a bachelor of science in business administration degree in business economics.
