The Manville High School Music Organization holds its 7th annual car show by the Full Throttle Car Club from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the Manville High School fields facing Bleecher Street.
The rain date is Sunday.
Co-organizer Al Tomari is hoping for sunny weather to boost a good cause.
The music organization raises funds for equipment needed by school band. This year, according to Mr. Tomari, most of the money will go for raincoats for band members.
”We have been trying for two years to get the money for raincoats,” he said.
The car show is one of the fundraisers for the band. It also sponsors a spaghetti dinner during the year.
“Our Jazz under the Stars was wonderful and that was a big one for us. We can’t do too many but we try to do good ones,” he said.
The organization is still looking for car owners to participate in the show. To display a car, the cost is $20 a space. Trophies will be presented in several categories. For information, call 908-526-2998 or e-mail [email protected].
Admission is free to the public to come enjoy the old cars. Parents will offer food for purchase.
