EAST WINDSOR — West Windsor resident Victor Tang, 19, remained in critical condition Thursday after his car and a tractor-trailer collided at the intersection of Route 33 and Airport Road late Monday afternoon.
East Windsor police said Mr. Tang was heading west on Airport Road in a 2008 BMW X3 when he pulled in front of Donald Schreck Jr., 54, of Windgap, Pa, who was driving a 2007 Freightliner eastbound on Route 33, locally known as Mercer Street.
Police said Mr. Schreck did not have enough time to stop and crashed into Mr. Tang at 4 p.m.
Capital Health System Paramedics, EMS, both East Windsor volunteer fire companies and Hightstown Engine Company No. 1 responded to the accident.
The EMS and fire officials extricated Mr. Tang from his BMW and he was taken to the Capital Health System at the Fuld Campus in Trenton, where he was listed in critical condition.
Police said Mr. Schreck and his passenger, Joshua Clinton, 40, of Center Valley, Pa, were both uninjured.
The accident remains under investigation by the East Windsor Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
