EAST WINDSOR — One man was transported to Capital Health System-Fuld Campus after his vehicle collided into a Freightliner at the intersection of Route 33 and Airport Road late Monday afternoon.
According to the East Windsor Police Department, Victor Tang, 19, of West Windsor was driving a 2008 BMW X3 on Airport Road, heading west, when he pulled directly in front of Donald Schreck Jr., 54, of Windgap, Pa., who was driving a 2007 Freightliner eastbound on Route 33, causing the collision.
The July 30 crash occurred at 4 p.m. Route 33 is known locally as Mercer Street.
Mr. Schreck did not have time to stop before colliding into Mr. Tang with his 2007 Freightliner, police said.
Mr. Tang was transported to Capital Health System at the Fuld Campus for reported injuries after being extricated from the BMW by responding emergency medical services and fire officials, police said.
Mr. Schreck and passenger Joshua Clinton, 40, of Center Valley, Pa. were both uninjured, according to police.
Capital Health System Paramedics & EMS, East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, East Windsor Volunteer Fire Company No. 2, and Hightstown Engine Company No. 1 responded to the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the East Windsor Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
