Campus Corner column
Christine Fisher, a 2010 graduate of Hillsborough High, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Connecticut. She completed the spring semester as a participant in UConn’s Study Abroad program at the University of the Aegean, Rhodes, Greece.
Michael Joseph Williams was named to the dean’s list at Penn State University for the spring semester, receiving a 3.8 grade-point average.
Michael is a sophomore majoring in management information systems and is a 2011 graduate of Hillsborough High School.
Villanova (Pa.) University named 13 Hillsborough students to the dean’s list for the spring semester.
Six students are in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. With their majors, they are:
Renee Bissonnette, Christopher Putvinski and Melanie Romero, all of whom are studying criminal justice; Craig Diziki, who is studying environmental science; Natalie Puzio, who is studying political science, and Kelly Gabriel, who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Erin Lynch is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the College of Nursing.
Six local students are in the School of Business. They are Andrew Gabriel, who is studying economics; Meaghan Kelly, who is studying finance, and Erin Lynch, Ryan Rew, Lauren Troeller and Devon Ziminski, all of whom are pursuing bachelor’s degrees.
To qualify, a full-time student must earn a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5. The College of Nursing requires at least a 3.5 for the academic year.
