CHAPTER B
Chapter B members meet on the second Thursday of each month for their monthly meeting. In lieu of our regular meeting today, Aug. 9, we will have our annual picnic at the Municipal Building.
The committee has some great things planned. Tickets were sold in advance; please turn in your ticket as you enter to receive your rebate. No tickets will be sold at the door. The picnic counts as a meeting attended. We will also be selling 50/50 tickets.
Reminder: On Aug. 9 bring items you wish to donate for our special dollar sale in September. Books, dishes, miscellaneous household items, handmade items, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Help us make the sale a success. We ask that any items you have donated and are not sold be taken home.
We have 53 members signed up for our trip to Monmouth Raceway with dinner at Basile’s Restaurant following the races on Aug. 24.
Anyone interested in signing up for the Oct. 23 trip to Platzl Brauhaus in Ponoma, N.Y., can still do so. By popular demand, we were asked to get a second bus. That has been accomplished, so we will be selling these tickets at the picnic today. Those interested have been invited to bring a friend. The trip includes lunch, beer, soda, cider, dancing and entertainment. Cost is $75.
   Bingo will resume in September.
Senior activity rooms (located in the Municipal Building) are open to all seniors residing in Hillsborough who are 60 years of age or older. Rooms are open from 9 to 4 each weekday. We ask that you sign in as you enter so we can keep a record of how many are using the rooms.
Hope everyone is having an enjoyable and relaxing summer.

Mr. Close’s process of recreating the human face has radically changed the definition of modern portraiture.
After the presentation, 16 participants will be able to finger paint in the technique.
