Mr. Rylyk, 89, of Woodbridge, died Aug. 4, 2012, in Woodbridge. He was born in Lisko, Ukraine. Mr. Rylyk and his wife were both survivors of a German work camp. After the war ended, they immigrated to America. Mr. Rylyk was employed by American Smelting of Perth Amboy, Raritan Bay Medical Center and the Perth Amboy Police Department. He was a parishioner of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Perth Amboy. He was predeceased by his wife, Eva. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Dawn of Middletown and Andrew and Joyce of Alexandria, Va.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Kenneth Frankel of Woodbridge, Sophie and Henry Bernstein of Port Washington, N.Y., and Helen and John Zawadzski of Carteret; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, followed by burial at the church cemetery, Hopelawn section of Woodbridge.
