A Fieldsboro man was charged with the theft of lost property after police found he had a dog in his possession that was reported missing.
Police reported that after an investigation following the report of the missing dog on Aug. 1, Edgar Nugent, 34, was arrested and charged on Monday.
Mr. Nugent was being held at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Police said the dog was returned to its owner.
A Roebling woman faces drunken driving and other charges after police found her passed out in a motor vehicle in the left lane of Route 130 south near Hornberger Avenue on July 30.
Police said Nancy E. Klemmer, 59, failed sobriety tests conducted at the scene after she was found at 1:52 a.m. She was taken to police headquarters where she was also charged with reckless driving, refusing a breath test, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, obstructing the passage of other vehicles, and possession of a controlled dangerous subject in a motor vehicle.
In addition police charged her with possession of a prescription drug without a valid container.
After processing she was released into the custody of a family member.
Florence
Christie Swart, 21, of 4th Avenue was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
Ms. Swart was arrested at the Roebling train station at 12:05 p.m. Monday for an outstanding Florence Township theft warrant. When arrested police said she was in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
She was held in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $3,500 bail.
