POLICE BLOTTER: Week of Aug. 9

Allentown 
   Robert Barone, 22, of Allentown, was arrested Aug. 6 on a warrant from Hamilton Township for $20,000.
   He was turned over to Hamilton Township police.
Robbinsville 
   At 3:43 p.m. Monday, police received a 911 call from a garage at 1103 Route 130 North for a report of an unconscious male.
   Police found the victim, a 44-year-old male from Freehold, unconscious and unresponsive. It was reported by a friend and co-worker that the victim was filling a tractor-trailer tire with air when the tire exploded off the rim.
   The victim suffered head and leg injuries as a result.
   Robbinsville Division of Fire and EMS responded along with paramedics from Capitol Health. The victim was transported to Capitol Health Trauma Center in Trenton.
   The victim is in critical condition. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
   Both the garage and the tractor-trailer are independently owned by the victim.
   Police said a man reported being scammed on eBay on July 31 at 8:20 a.m.
   The man said he refunded a buyer’s money for a piece of electronic equipment, but did not receive the item in return. The item is valued at $1,200.
   According to police, a woman walked in to the police station July 31 at 9:35 p.m. to report a $200 purchase was made on her credit card, which she did not authorize.
   Police said a Spring Garden Road resident reported a break-in Aug. 1 around midnight.
   The man said he noticed his garage light was on, and one of the doors to the garage was slightly opened when he called the police.
   The man’s car was open, and some of his lawn equipment was moved outside, however, there was no damage or missing items.
   A woman from Hutchinson Road reported someone had damaged her water meter Aug. 1 around 6 p.m. The estimated cost to fix it is $50.
   Police said they received a report of a person who requested 86 gallons of gas from a gas station on Route 130 North, then left before paying. The gas was worth $300.
   A 26-year-old man from Hamilton was charged with drunken driving Friday at 2:51 a.m.
   Michael Bannister was speeding when he was stopped on Robbinsville-Edinburg Road, police said.
   Mr. Bannister also was charged with having an obstructed windshield, careless driving, reckless driving, unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, creating a risk of a motor vehicle crash and failing to exhibit documents.
   He was released without bail.
   A man reported Saturday at 12:30 p.m. that someone had stole his tractor and cut the locks off his trailer sometime during the night while it was parked on West Manor Way. The value of the tractor is estimated at $25,000.
   A Hadley Drive resident reported that her mountain bike valued at $50 was stolen out of her backyard Sunday at around 7 p.m.
   A 43-year-old Robbinsville resident was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
   Police received a tip that Cleve Johnson was dealing drugs out of his car, police said. An officer approached his car and found drug paraphernalia. Mr. Johnson also a warrant.
   Mr. Johnson also was charged with having tinted windows and being an unlicensed driving and was released without bail.
   From Sunday to Tuesday, there were six separate thefts of bicycles in the Foxmoor area — two on Tasley, three on Hadley and one on Cromwell.
   The thefts mostly occur during the overnight hours. All have had one thing in common: The bicycles were left outside, and they were not locked up.
   The Police Department would like to remind residents to lock up their personal belongings and report anything suspicious immediately by calling 609-259-3900 or dial 911 if they believe they are witnessing a theft.
