Family Members, Friends and Members of the Community Invited to Final Performance
For one fabulous week this summer — August 13-17 — dance lovers from beginners to advanced, teens through adult will be exploring the world of modern dance with the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company (www.cddc.info) during NJ Summerdance (NJSD) 2012 at Kean University. For the 3rd year, Kean is hosting NJSD and Stop & Shop NY Metro division is the corporate sponsor, with healthy snacks and drinks being provided by Stop and Shop of Union, Shoprite and Target.
Throughout the week, over 40 dance enthusiasts from 8 NJ counties and Miami, Fl will partake in daily master classes in modern dance technique, Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company repertory, choreography, ethnic dance styles and much more while working with leading dance artists from the New York metro area including Carolyn Dorfman and Company and Camille A. Brown, Fritha Pengally, and Luis Salgado.
At the conclusion of the program on Friday, CDDC will perform and students will showcase what they have learned throughout the week in a culminating show on August 17that 3:30 p.m., followed by a reception. Family members, friends and members of the community are invited to attend free-of-charge.
