Lambertville City police reported:
— On Aug. 9 at 4:41 p.m., a strong thunderstorm with high winds and a reported funnel cloud rumbled through Lambertville.
A live power line fell down on 13 vehicles parked at Cavallo Park on Mount Hope Street.
In addition, a utility pole was snapped at the Lambertville Sewerage Authority. Several sculls, (boats) were damaged on the D&R canal property.
No injuries were reported.
— On Aug. 5 at 5:50 p.m., Officer Kenneth Housman went to the Hunterdon Medical Center to check out a victim of a gunshot. Investigation revealed that Oliverio Cruz-Morales, 31, of Lambertville, accidentally shot his roommate Alberto Martinez, 31, in the right thigh with a pellet gun. This incident was ruled accidental. The men were playing with the gun. No charges were filed.
— On Aug. 6 at 2:08 a.m., Officer. Michael Gramlich stopped Abel Perez-Cruz, 37, of Lambertville, on Route 179 for failure to keep right. Mr. Perez-Cruz was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI, reckless driving, failure to keep right, and being an unlicensed driver . He was released pending a court appearance.
— On Aug. 7 at 2:44 a.m., Officer Gramlich stopped Ryan K. Cooper. 26, of Ewing, on Route 29 after a random lookup revealed his driver’s license had expired. Mr. Cooper was found to have an active warrant out of Lawrence Township Municipal Court for $1,000. Mr. Cooper was issued a summons for having an expired license.
— On Aug. 11 at 2:03 a.m., Officer Anthony Memolo stopped Shane J. Tompkins, 44, of Pennington, on Route 518 for failure to keep right. Mr. Tompkins was subsequently charged with DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test, failure to keep right and careless driving. He was released pending a court appearance.
— On Aug. 12 at 2:30 a.m., Sgt. Robert Brown stopped Joyce M. Davis, 31, of Milford, on Route 29 after she was seen driving the wrong way on Coryell Street. Ms. Davis was charged with driving while her license was suspended, and failure to exhibit a vehicle registration. She was found to have a warrant out of Pohatcong Municipal Court for $279. She posted bail and was released.
A passenger, Andrew F. Kenny, 33, of Jersey City, was found to have a warrant out of Morristown Municipal Court for $200. He posted bail and was released.
— On Aug. 12, Sgt. Brown stopped Christine Seaman, 42, of New Hope, on Bridge Street for failure to keep right on North Union Street. Ms. Seaman subsequently was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test, careless driving, and failure to keep right. She was released pending a court appearance.
— On Aug. 12, Officer Gramlich stopped Joseph M. Bowie Jr., 35, of Philadelphia, on Route 179 for failure to keep right. Mr. Bowie was found to have two warrants out of Camden City Municipal Court totaling $271. He was released by Camden City. He was issued a summons for failure to wear a seatbelt.
— On Aug. 13 at 4:42 a.m., Sgt. Brown stopped Adair Hernandez-Carrasco, 23, of Lambertville, on Quarry Street after he failed to dim his high-beam headlights. He also backed up over a curb on Quarry Street. He was charged with DWI, careless driving, and failure to exhibit his driver’s license. Mr. Hernandez-Carrasco was released pending a court appearance.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
