POLICE BLOTTER: Week of Aug. 16

Robbinsville 
   John Magee, 27, of East Windsor, was charged with drunken driving Saturday at 2:45 a.m. after being stopped on the Sharon Road bypass by Patrolman Shawn Bruton.
   Police said they saw a vehicle on Route 33, failing to maintain a lane. While following the vehicle, the driver disregarded the traffic light at Route 130 and the Robbinsville bypass, police said.
   Mr. Magee also was charged with careless driving, reckless driving, making an unsafe lane change, disregarding a traffic device and failing to give a proper signal.
   He was released without bail.
   Vitaliy Karpinskyy, 41, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, was charged with drunken driving Friday at 4:29 p.m. after being stopped at Bromley Place by Patrolman Scott Kivet.
   Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Bromley Place, police said. The vehicle was parked improperly, police said.
   Mr. Karpinskyy also was charged with reckless driving, careless driving, having an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and having an open container in a motor vehicle.
   He was released without bail.
   Gregory Lattin, 20, of Bordentown, was charged with burglary and theft on Aug. 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Shrimp King.
   Patrolman Shawn Emmons was completing a business check when he saw a man dressed in black next to the Shrimp King restaurant, trying to get in through a basement window, police said.
   The man fled on foot into the woods behind Shrimp King. Hamilton police, New Jersey State Police and a K-9 unit from Trenton helped search for the man, police said.
   The K-9 unit located Mr. Lattin in the woods. While being arrested, Mr. Lattin kicked and punched at the dog, police said.
   Police later learned Mr. Lattin had stolen baked goods from Ruserts Deli, police said.
   Mr. Lattin also was charged with obstruction of justice and assaulting a police K-9. Bail was set at $3,500.
   Mr. Lattin was turned over to the Bordentown Police Department on a criminal warrant.
