FREEHOLD — On Aug. 19, residents of Monmouth County are invited to attend a community open house at the Freehold Jewish Center (FJC), 59 Broad St., Freehold Borough. The open house will run from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
“One comment people often make is that they feel a real sense of community at our temple,” FJC President Gabe Gurman said. “By having this open house, we want to invite everyone in the area to come and experience that as well.”
According to FJC Executive Director Marvin Krakower, “We are always looking to grow our temple community by welcoming new members, creating and holding interesting events, and by providing an uplifting environment for people to explore and enjoy their Jewish heritage.”
Rabbi Tal Sessler, who was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, and who joined the FJC last year, will be at the open house to welcome guests as well. Sessler said he is eager to tell everyone about the new curriculum he helped develop for the temple’s Hebrew school program.
