POLICE BLOTTER: Week of Aug. 17

East Windsor
   According to police, a 16-year-old boy was charged with possession of marijuana on Aug. 8 at 4:07 p.m. on Old Trenton Road.
   The boy was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt when an officer noticed marijuana inside the car, police said.
   He was turned over to a parent, pending court action.
   A woman reported clothes valued at $450 and an air compressor worth $50 was stolen from her car between 9 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 8 while it was parked, unlocked, on Dennison Drive, police said.
   Police said a house under construction on Endeavor Boulevard was entered and $3,000 was taken from the property. Entry had been made by force through the front door. The incident is under investigation.
   According to police, a 30-year-old man from The Orchard, was charged with driving while intoxicated on North Main Street at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 10.
   Alfonzo Gonzalez-Balbuena was observed driving erratically and officers noticed the smell of alcohol when they pulled him over, police said.
   He was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to use headlights.
   A woman reported someone scratched her car with a sharp object between 8 p.m. and 9:23 p.m. on Aug. 12 on Abbington Drive, police said. The damage is estimated at $3000.
   Police charged a man with driving while intoxicated on Probasco Road at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.
   Chad Bacek, 39, of Pompton Lakes was pulled over and a woman in the car said he had struck her in the head, police said.
   According to police, Mr. Bacek fled then fled the area, but he was found on Avon Drive.
   He was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, driving while intoxicated in a school zone, driving while intoxicated with a juvenile in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment. He was later released pending court action.
   Melissa Supak, 27, of South River was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and resisting arrest on Aug. 11 at 3:31 a.m., police said.
   Ms. Supak was taken into custody after yelling obscenities to police officers who were called to Hollingston Place to investigate a fight, police stated.
   Ms. Supak tried to run away from the police and then physically resisted arrest, police said. She was later released pending court action.
   Police responded to Abbington Drive for a report of an assault victim who required medical attention.
   The victim was transported to Helene Fuld Hospital for treatment and the incident is under investigation, according to police.
   Police charged a man from Conover Road with driving while intoxicated after pulling him over on Route 130 South on Aug. 14 at 9:24 p.m.
   Esdras Machado-Giron, 27, was pulled over after an officer was flagged down and told that the car was taken without the owners consent, police said.
   According to police, officers caught up to the vehicle and charged Mr. Machado-Giron with driving while intoxicated, speeding, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to keep right, operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, unlicensed driving and failure to wear a seat belt.
   An anonymous caller reported that his Hankins Road residence was broken into and several rooms had been ransacked on Aug. 14 between 1 p.m. and 2:40 p.m., according to police. Numerous items were stolen and the incident is still under investigation.
Hightstown
   Police charged a man with resisting arrest after he attempted to interfere with a police investigation on Aug. 10 at 9:39 a.m. at a residence on Stockton Street.
   According to police, a 15-year-old girl, who appeared injured and upset, ran out of the house and was talking to police when Rommel Romero-Quezada, 23, tried to interfere with the investigation.
   While Mr. Romero-Quezada was being placed under arrested the girl attempted to prevent the arrest, police said, and was then herself charged with aggravated assault on police, obstructing the administration of law, hindering apprehension by providing false information to police, resisting arrest and tampering with a public record.
   Mr. Romero-Quezada was transported to the Mercer County Adult Correction Center in lieu of $5,000 bail and the juvenile was released to her parent with pending court action.
   On Aug. 7 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:23 p.m. a caller reported his car, parked on Franklin Street, had been spray painted by an unknown vandal, police said.

   Police charged Luis Lupercio, 18, of Academy Street with criminal mischief for allegedly scratching and denting a family member’s car on Aug. 8 at 12:30 p.m. According to police, the $1,000 worth of damage was done to the vehicle.
   Police charged an East Windsor resident with driving while intoxicated on Aug. 11 at 2:36 a.m. on Mercer Street.
   Natasha Clopton, 31, was stopped for having a tail light out, when the police noticed the odor of alcohol in her car, police said.Ms. Clopton was charged with driving while under the influence.
