How will mayor explain tax hike to those on fixed income?

The New Jersey media lambasted the Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) for the outrageous salaries and bonuses paid to senior staff, including Executive Director Richard Pucci, who is also the mayor of Monroe Township, where he is paid $27,776. His total public-sector compensation is just under $280,000. One might wonder where Middlesex County and the MCIA obtain their money. One source is the 10-16 percent property-tax increases that the homeowners of Monroe have just received. These increases are with the 2 percent property-tax cap included.

I would like to know how Pucci plans to explain to the 85- year-old widows living in the Monroe adult communities on $25,000 per year why he and his staff need so much money from them.
