Mrs. Sims, of Whiting, formerly of Jackson, died Aug. 3, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul F. Sims; and a son, Jeffry Sims. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and John Gubernot of Little Egg Harbor, Sharon and Robert Aitken of Jackson and Barbara and Michael Greene of Brick; a son, Steven Sims of Island Lake, Ill.; an adopted son, Glenn Spitzer, of Island Lake, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by a private cremation. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
