LAWRENCE: Police blotter

   A Lawrence Road resident reported the theft of a 2011 Ford Flex, valued at $40,000, from his driveway between 10 p.m. Aug. 18 and 11:29 a.m. Aug. 19. The car had been left unlocked, and the keys were in the center console.
   Someone entered an unlocked 2009 Ford Edge while it was parked in its owner’s driveway on Karena Lane between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 18 and noon Aug. 19, and stole a pair of sunglasses and an Ipad. The items were recovered later that day by the victim on the lawn.
   Ronald Miller Jr., 33 of Nathan Hale Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and assault by auto after the 2006 GMC Canyon pickup truck he was driving was involved in an accident on Brunswick Pike at Whitehead Road at 7:55 p.m. Aug. 18.
   Two people were injured, one of whom complained of neck pain and the other who complained of rib/abdominal pain. They were taken to Capital Health Systems at Fuld hospital.
   A GPS valued at $80 was stolen from an unlocked 2007 Saturn while it was parked in its owner’s driveway on Eggerts Crossing Road between 8 p.m. Aug. 16 and 8 a.m. Aug. 17. A 1999 Ford sport utility vehicle also was entered, but nothing was reported missing.
   Samuel F. Pegram, 24, of Shirley Lane, was charged with driving under the influence, obstruction of the administration of law, resisting arrest, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after the 2012 Mini Cooper he was driving struck a parked car on Shirley Lane at 12:06 a.m. Aug. 17.
   Four tires and rims, valued at $800, were reported stolen from a 2011 Honda Fit while it was parked in the parking lot on Town Court South between 9 p.m. Aug. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 17. The thief left the car sitting on blocks.
   Someone tried to enter a Larkspur Lane residence between Aug. 5 and 3 p.m. Aug. 15 by cutting a window screen on a first-floor window, but no entry was made.
   Shanda Williams, 24, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting taking clothing worth $184.94 at 2:27 p.m. Aug. 15 from Sears at the Quaker Bridge Mall.
   A Craftsman branch push lawn mower, valued at $300, was reported stolen from the fenced-in rear yard of a Brunswick Avenue home between midnight and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
   A burglar tried unsuccessfully to break into a storage building on Lawrence Square Boulevard North that belongs to Lawrence Township at 2:49 a.m. Aug. 14. Entry was made into a smaller, wooden storage shed at the rear of the building by prying open the hasp and padlock, but nothing was reported missing.
   An assortment of tools, valued at a combined $1,250, a camera tripod worth $570, a duffel bag full of clothing valued at $75 and a GPS unit worth $120 were reported stolen from a 2007 Chevrolet van belonging to a California resident while it was parked at the Comfort Inn on Brunswick Pike between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 14. The thief broke the rear window to gain entry.
   Two 15-year-old girls, one from Hamilton and one from Trenton, were charged with shoplifting clothing worth $145 from J.C. Penney at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 13.
   Thirty pairs of panties, valued at $666, were reported stolen from a display table at the front of the Victoria’s Secret store at the Quaker Bridge Mall between 6 p.m. and 6:37 p.m. Aug. 13.
