The Lost Valley Recaps Manville Flooding on NJTV Thursday August 23

By D. Falk
As the first anniversary of Hurricane Irene approaches, New Jersey’s public television network NJTV airs The Lost Valley, a documentary looking the storm’s long-lasting effect on the residents of the Lost Valley section of Manville Borough, NJ, where the storm dumped record amounts of rainfall on an area long flooding history. With upwards of seven feet of water on the first floor of some homes, residents have to rebuild and wait. For some, many times in the last several years.  They wait on FEMA money, they wait on news about a government buyout, and they wait on the next major storm that could put them under water again. The Lost Valley, produced by NJTV’s media partner The Star-Ledger/NJ.com, airs multiple times beginning this Thursday on NJTV: Thursday, August 23 at 10:30pm ; Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 4:30am; Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 11:30pm and Tuesday, September 4 at 10:30pm.
