Specific items can be recycled at S.B. Senior Center

The South Brunswick Senior Center, at the Office on Aging, Ridge Road off Route 522, will be collecting specific materials to be recycled.

Mars candy bar wrappers (Snickers, M&Ms, Twix), inkjet printer cartridges, cheese wrappers (singles, string cheese, bars of cheese), dairy tubs (parmesan cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese) and electronics (cell phones, laptops, mouses, keyboards) can be brought to the senior center weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Terra Cycle will donate 2 cents to the senior center for each wrapper, 25 cents for each inkjet cartridge and $5 for any electronics. The donated products are then up-cycled into eco-friendly items such as tote bags, purses, shower curtains and backpacks.
