John Domingo Vega

Mr. Vega, 63, of Manalapan, died Aug. 10, 2012. He was born in Puerto Rico and lived in Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Manalapan 25 years ago. He was a self-employed master carpenter. Mr. Vega was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Jane Vega, of Manalapan; a son, Christopher Vega and his wife, Cheryl, of Jackson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Charles Marino of Howell, Donna and Stephen Pollio of Freehold, and Dina Marie and Christopher Spiess of Old Bridge; his mother, Luisa Vega of Staten Island; four sisters, Angela Vega of Staten Island, Daisy Kudrys of Staten Island, Vivian Bembe of Bear, Del., and Ana Gallagher of Monroe; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Arrangements were by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
