The Asbury Park Labor Day Bar-B-Q serves up barbeque and festival snacks, a mix of live music, daily stage performances by the Boys & Girls Club, entertainment, and games and rides for the entire family.
The BBQ is held in Bradley Park on Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park and takes place Sept. 1 and 2 from noon to 10 p.m., and Sept. 3 from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is $5 and is good for the entire weekend. Children under 12 are admitted for free.
The performers for Saturday include DJ Emcee Rob Bush, Matt Wade, the Boys & Girls Clubs Annual Talent Show, and Michael Patrick’s Ring of Fire.
Sunday’s lineup kicks off with Aqua Vibe, followed by a Boys & Girls Clubs fashion show, the Suburban Hillbillies, and The Fuzz. The night will end with a fireworks show over the boardwalk.
Monday will feature the “Camp Bandit” dance team, Josh Zuckerman, and Random Test.
Local food vendors include: Jersey Shore BBQ, Jakes Famous Crab Cakes, Carnival Concessions, Ike’s, Tommy’s Good Grillin, G & L Gyro, Harvest Specialty, Pure & Simple Flat Bread, The Spot Latin Grill, and Crave Food & Catering. Lighter snacks will also be available from Kona Ice, Russell’s Almonds, Casa Di Dolci, Doc Popcorn and the Cupcake Carnival food truck. Ice-cold beverages including beer, wine, soda, water and lemonade will be available as well.
