Alex Gacos, son of Kathy Kuhns Gacos, formerly of Hillsborough, and Jamie Gacos, and grandson of Marvin and Kathryn Lieberman of Hillsborough, attended a business seminar in Shanghai, China, in August.
He was invited to attend by his professor at the University of Barcelona, Spain, where he spent the spring semester. Now that he has returned from China, the Basking Ridge resident is continuing his education in business in his senior year at the University of South Carolina.
Lauren Wisbeski, a 2010 graduate of Hillsborough High School, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Boston University.
Lauren is a political science major and English minor who plans on studying abroad in the spring of her junior year.
Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y., placed Daniel Richards of Hillsborough on the dean’s list for his academic performance for the spring semester.
Daniel received higher honors for earning a grade-point average between 3.7 and 3.89.
Allison Sikora of Hillsborough has been named to the dean’s list at Paul Smith’s (N.Y.) College for the spring semester. Allison, who majors in parks, recreation and facilities management, earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher.
Michael Joseph Williams was named to the dean’s list at Penn State University for the spring semester, receiving a 3.8 grade point average. Michael is a sophomore majoring in management information systems and is a 2011 graduate of Hillsborough High School.
Dale Devereaux, a 2011 graduate of Hillsborough High School, has completed his freshman year at Johnson & Wales University of Rhode Island.Dale made the dean’s list in the fall and spring semesters with a grade-point average of 3.8. Dale was also inducted into the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
Thomas Pepitone, a music education major from Hillsborough, was one of 26 students inducted into the Kappa Delta Epsilon, a national honor society for education, at a ceremony on campus in the spring semester. Members must have completed at least 30 credit hours and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0.
