MANVILLE: $1,000 reward offered for help in finding graffiti miscreant

   A $1,000 reward is offered for information into the investigation regarding the spray painting of 12 buildings and borough property between Aug. 18 and 20.
   Chief Mark Peltack said a video camera image shows the suspect is believed to be a white male in his late 20s and is about 6 feet tall.
   Crime Stoppers of Somerset County is offering the reward for information leading to the arrest of individuals responsible for the spray painting.
   Sgt. Jeffery Petrone reported at 3:35 p.m. Aug. 20 that the traffic control box at West Camplain Road and South 13th Avenue was tagged in purple with graffiti saying “King of Nothing.”
   At 3:37, the officer found another traffic control box at South Main Street and Kennedy Boulevard jughandle similarly tagged. At 3:39, he reported the west wall of LaCascada was tagged with yellow paint with “hi Hi Hi.” He also found the west wall in the South Main Street parking lot on the Rosalie Street side tagged in black paint with “hiER” over the weekend.
   At 4:23 p.m. Friday, Detective Sgt. Ronald Gazaway reported spray paint at Rich’s Off-Road Towing with the words “Hier” and “HiHi” in gold spray paint along the building’s west wall .
   In all cases, the Public Works Department came to remove the paint.
