Registration is open for the fifth annual Rutgers Army ROTC Run For The Warriors. The race begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Highpoint Solution Stadium on the Busch Campus of Rutgers University.
Registration is $20 for general admission. There is also special pricing for veterans, military, families and students. Wounded service members, Gold Star family members and children 10 and under can register for free.
Rutgers students along with PLC students can register for only $5 through the first full week of classes. Registration increases to $10 on Sept. 12.
The opening ceremony honors local wounded heroes and families of the fallen. The Rutgers Army ROTC Run For The Warriors was created in memory of service member Cpl. Steven R. Koch, who was born in New Brunswick and also lived in North Brunswick and East Brunswick.
All proceeds will benefit Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit organization that assists combat wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
